Getting In, Getting Around Omaha
The primary airport that serves Omaha is Eppley Airfield. It is centrally located near the Iowa and Nebraska borders and is minutes from downtown Omaha. It is served by discount airline Southwest Airlines, as well as other major carriers. It has daily non-stop service to more than 20 cities nationwide, including Minneapolis, Chicago and Denver.
Amtrak serves Omaha with the California Zephyr, which runs daily between Emeryville (in the San Francisco Bay Area) and Chicago. It has several stops along the way, with connections throughout America.
Greyhound has daily service to nearby major cities including Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Chicago.
Getting around Omaha is an easy task. The streets are divided into North and South by Dodge Street (West Dodge Road), and the city is divided East and West by 72nd Street. Where Dodge and 72nd Street meet is considered the "Crossroads."
